Week 1 betting odds NEvsMIA
Tua under 22.5 completions — -105
Tua completed 22 passes or more in 5 of 11 games last year. Neither of them came against New England. I expect the Patriots to mirror their game plans from last year. Run the ball and play good defense. Despite Miami trading touting arguably the best wide receiver duo in the NFL, coach McDaniel still wants to establish the run. This will shorten the game leading to fewer pass attempts.
Mike Gesicki over 28.5 receiving yards — -115
Last season Gesicki had 41 yards or more in 12 of 17 games. Devils advocate would say Gesicki was Miami second best option last year behind Waddle and he is likely 3rd at best maybe 4th it the pecking order this year. However, 28.5 yards is not a lot and Tua will look for his big tight end enough times to get him over.
