Week 12 betting odds CARvsMIA
Week 11 was a rough week hitting 1 - 6 as the Dolphins stunk it up on defense and Miami couldn’t pull away until late in the fourth quarter. This week we will look to go 4 for 4 and bring the year total back into the win column.
I think Miami’s defense will attack the Panthers offense similarly as they did against Baltimore a couple weeks ago. On offense Miami will struggle with the Panther’s pass rush. Both teams will likely look to establish the run and shorten the game.
Tua Tagovailoa completions 20.5 — Over -105
Going back to this one again. We hit it last week easily and Tua needed at least 24 completions. Although Carolina posses a top pass defense, Miami offense is still unable to run the ball. Miami averages over 25 completions per game while Carolina is only giving up 18.9 per game. ESPN projects 26 completions.
Tua rushing yards 10.5 — Over -110
Tua has over 10.5 rushing yards in 2 of 5 games he played the entire game. The Panthers have a formidable pass defense ranking 1st in pass yards given up per game and 5th is sacks per game. That combination will lead to Tua scrambling to pick up yards on the ground.
Myles Gaskin rushing yards 54.5 — Under -115
Gaskin has only rushed over 54 yards 3 times this year. Miami will try to establish the run this game, but as we have seen all season long that will be met with minimal success. Throw it Duke Johnson and now Phillip Lindsay, I think they will take a handful of carries away from Gaskin.
Christian McCaffrey rushing yards 70.5 — Over -115
McCaffrey has rushed for over 70 yards in 3 of 5 full games he has played in. As usually he will be a key focus of Carolina’s offense. If you’ve watched any Dolphins games this year you’ve seen them give up chunk plays in the running game.
DJ Moore receptions 4.5 — Over +100
Moore has caught 5 passes or more in 8 of 11 games this year. He hit a little bit of a lull the past four weeks in terms of production. That had a little bit to do with quarterback play for Carolina. In Cam Newtons first game back as a full time start last week Moore caught 5 balls for the first time in 4 weeks. What better team to get back on track than against the Dolphins, as they give up the 29th most yards and completions per game.
